SALSA

Anupam’s debut novel, “Salsa” was published in 2013. Salsa was re-published as “Salsa – World is a Small Place” in 2014. The book was featured in leading Indian dailies like The Times of India, The New Indian Express, The Hindu and Deccan Chronicle. Besides leading bookstores and online portals, the book was also featured in national book fairs in Delhi, Kolkata, Ghaziabad, Bhubaneshwar, Jaipur.

The story revolves around the lives of Vihaan and Mitali and their serendipitous meeting that creates memories for a lifetime. They move on with their respective lives, until they meet again eight years later. Originally intended to be a short story, the book is heavily inspired by Anupam’s own experience with co-incidental run-ins. The recurrent theme of a “small world” strengthens the intrigue created by the co-incidences. The added element of salsa dancing peps up the story as well as the characters, as they discover happiness and bliss.

The book has been penned in a free-flowing and racy style with a view to keep the reader engaged and entertained. A few sub-plots, revolving in tandem with the main plot and deftly facilitated by some interesting characters lend myriad dimensions to the story.
